Sippin' On Some Syrup - Three 6 Mafia feat. UGK

"Sippin' On Some Syrup" is a track from Three 6 Mafia's fourth studio album, When the Smoke Clears: Sixty 6, Sixty 1. It features UGK and Project Pat. The song samples the synthesizer intro and keyboard instrumental from Marvin Gaye's 1978 song, "Is That Enough" from the singer's Here, My Dear album. "Syrup" is slang for codeine and promethazine.

A video was made for the song, however it did not get much airtime on MTV or BET. In the video Juicy J can be seen wearing a hat with the design from Insane Clown Posse's album The Amazing Jeckel Brothers. ICP appeared on a track from When The Smoke Clears.

The main remix, "Sippin' On Some Syrup (Remix)" aka, "Purple Punch", features Dipset rappers Cam'ron, Jim Jones and Juelz Santana. DJ Paul, Juicy J, and Bun B also return with new verses (Pimp C could not return due to his incarceration); Project Pat's chorus from the original was included. A video of the remix was made, although Cam'ron's verse is removed. The "syrup" referred to is lean, a recreational drug made by mixing medicated cough syrup containing codeine, promethazine, Jolly Ranchers, and soda.

You Know Me Official Music Video by PriceTagg

The San Fernando Sunshine from La Union finally made a debut music video for Shot Fired Entertainment. First CKatorse's EMO (Every Minute is On) music video also fired up for the rap label itself. The point is, both individuals are from La Union and the fact is...it's Northside thing.

PriceTagg started rapping by the age of 13 and he is also a freestyler. He used to live in Mandaluyong City but due to hard life, he did some crazy stuffs a while back. Crazy stuffs which will make the authorities look for you, so his (PriceTagg) parents were forced to send him home back to San Fernando, La Union. Well when you do crazy stuff in one place and you'd also do the same thing to another place. Right?

But one day he realized that he needs to some time to hit the studio to fire up his tracks, so he hustled hard for money to be able to survive on this game. Then it all started with the track entitled "You Know Me" and he also used it as a demo track which he sent to Shots Fired Entertainment's leader Don G. Belgica. He recieved a message from him (Belgica) that states "You're in...you're a Shots Fired artist now".
But before that, there was a time that Don G. Belgica went to La Union to attend an invitational gig, and there was PriceTagg with his group "Outlawz" performing on stage. He shouted to Don G like "Don G!!! Panoorin mo to" and they hyped the crowd like it was no tomorrow.

He's major influences in foreign rap music is 2pac, Snoop Dogg, The Game, Cam'ron, Yung Buck, Slim Thug and T.I. while in the local scene there is Andrew E., Francis M., Pikaso, D-Coy, Krazy Kyle, Krook and Jolo. But according to him when he suddenly heard Don G's track "Ligaw Kriminal" and some of his old tracks since THE OMERTA PROJECT, he (PriceTagg) was like "Man! this kind of shit is what I'm lookin' for! For the long time! Now that's Gangsta shit!" Because PriceTagg stated that Don G has spread the word to the streets and he is very lyrically heavy to his music and has the punchlines to add up the recipe. He also mentioned no one here in the Philippines is like Don G. Belgica.

Because of Don G's influences to PriceTagg, check out the video. It was based on everyday life of PriceTagg in San Fernando, La Union. Gambling, drinking alcohol, making money from the streets.

Shots Fired is growing and we are consisted on what we do and we are the best in world on what we do...

Shots Fired!!! Brrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap!!!

From Incident to Stardom

Kevin Antoine Dodson is a former resident of the Huntsville, Alabama, Lincoln Park housing project, whose interview on local television became an Internet sensation and resulted in an auto-tuned song with The Gregory Brothers that "has sold thousands of copies on iTunes and appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 list. Dodson's interview was prompted after an alleged house intrusion and alleged attempted rape of his sister.

Dodson was interviewed on July 28, 2010, by NBC affiliate WAFF-48 News after the alleged attempted rape of his sister by an intruder in her bedroom, in the "projects" of Lincoln Park. The video of the interview caught attention due to the passionate and flamboyant style of his delivery, speaking directly to the camera, in which he directly addressed the people of his neighborhood as well as the would-be rapist, and his use of street vernacular. The reactions were mixed. Some local viewers phoned the TV station to complain that interviews with people such as Dodson reflected poorly on the community, whereupon the station defended broadcasting the interview by stating that censoring such people is "far worse". To millions of young followers, he was a cult hero. Jonathan Capehart, editorial page writer for The Washington Post, wrote that Dodson became an instant Internet sensation because "in this age of fake reality TV, he puts the real in reality", to which he later added that Dodson "is one of the strongest people we’ve seen in a while".

The video of Dodson's television interview "went viral" and then inspired several musical remixes, including a video by musical group The Gregory Brothers, known as the "Bed Intruder Song", which in turn inspired many further covers and remixes, including a punk rock version by a team formed by Hayley Williams of Paramore, Jordan Pundik of New Found Glory, and Ethan Luck of Relient K.

Dodson was interviewed for the Today Show on NBC on 26 August 2010 about his new found "Web superstardom". On the program, Dodson's YouTube video was called "one of the most watched online videos ever," with the hosts noting it had already been viewed over 16 million times as of that date. Dodson made an extensive detailed interview with the Gary and Dino Show with important aspects of what happened on the night of the incident. Dodson has done radio shows in Australia, has fans in London and is now widely recognized in his hometown of Huntsville.

Dodson launched a website in which he asks for donations to assist his family in moving "out of the hood". The money, as well as money from sales of "Bed Intruder" on iTunes and merchandise such as T-shirts, will go to helping his family buy a new home and setting up a foundation for juvenile diabetes, a disease that has afflicted both his sister and his mother. In August 2010, Dodson noted the irony of having "a hit on iTunes, but we're still in the projects"; one month later, Us Weekly reported that Dodson had made enough money from the song to move his family out of the projects to a better house. In September 2010, the Gregory Brothers reported that they had sold over 100,000 copies of The Bed Intruder Song on iTunes.

In October 2010, Dodson gave a live performance of "Bed Intruder Song" with Michael Gregory of The Gregory Brothers at the 2010 BET Hip Hop Awards.

Dodson grew up in Chicago, and moved to Huntsville in 2004,where he attends Virginia College, working on an associate degree in business administration. He also works as a hairstylist. Antoine Dodson is the oldest of six children. In an online Q&A video with fans, he answered a question regarding his sexuality: "Am I bi[-sexual]? No. Gay? Yes." In an interview with CBS, Dodson told Shira Lazar that he had been a rape victim in the past.

I'll Be There For You/You're All I Need To Get By - Method Man feat. Mary J. Blige

A Grammy winning duet performed by rapper Method Man, and R&B singer Mary J. Blige.

The song is a remix of Method Man's "All I Need" (which appears on his 1994 debut album Tical), with an interpolation of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's 1968 hit, "You're All I Need to Get By", with Mary J. Blige singing the choruses, and backing vocals. Another version of the song was released, entitled "Puff Daddy Mix," which was produced by Sean Combs. The song features the original "All I Need" instrumental, and repeatedly uses the sample ("Lie together, cry together/I swear to God I hope we fuckin' die together") from The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Me & My Bitch". Another remix version, titled "Razor Sharp Mix" was produced by RZA.

The song peaked at number three on the pop charts, and number one on the R&B singles chart, a position it held for three weeks. The song also ended up winning the duo the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in 1996.
"I'll Be There for You/You're All I Need to Get By" appears on Radio 1 Established 1967, a compilation album celebrating the 40th anniversary of BBC Radio 1. In 2008, it was ranked number 44 on VH1's "100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop" list. In 2009, Method Man and Mary J. Blige performed the song together at VH1's 6th Annual Hip Hop Honors ceremony.

Sabi Ng Bato Official Music Video - Bugoy Na Koykoy

A video is about the life and struggles of a person who has an addiction and will do anything for the vice. In addition, when you're gonna listen to this track, it feels like the vice itself is actually talking to you. Can you relate to what I'm saying? Then watch the video itself for further information.

Not just the video's concept but also the track's lyrical content which is true. Now this is what you call something street and lyrical!

A film by Decent Leaves, Bugoy Na Koykoy, a Dongalo Wreckords soldier, the one who wrote the lyrics and made the track itself. Honestly, this is the first time I heard him (Bugoy) rap something like this. Good job my brother, this one is an instant classic shit! Keep it up!

Oh No - Mos Def feat. Pharoahe Monch, Nate Dogg

Part of the album "Lyricist Lounge 2" is the second installment in Rawkus Records Lyricist Lounge album series. The release was one of Rawkus' most commercially successful releases, featuring the hit crossover singles, "Oh No" and "Get Up", the former charting on the Billboard Hot 100. Despite its success, Lyricist Lounge 2 drew criticisms from underground fans, mainly due to the album's more commercial sound, and also because of its focus on established artists, unlike the first installment, which largely featured up-and-coming MC's.

Walang Puso Official Music Video - Don G. Belgica

Finally! The first ever music video of the leader of the most feared rap label in the country is already in the internet and it’s spreading. The track is about unleashing hell to the rap game in the Philippines but even though hell is already unleashed but this track is a sign to unleash more hell. Never ever stand in the way of Don G. Belgica, he might just use you as a stepping stone or just an addition to his résumé or just victims for short. This video may be a sign for the gangsta rap to stand up to its feet one more time since 90's era. We are getting sick and tired of Hip-Hop today on how some of the new artists is ruining the art. Hmm, let's say in the U.S. we see Soulja Boy just disrespect the hell out of gangsta rap pioneer Ice T. Well if you're a hiphop fan and true about it, you will also feel how Ice T. felt about Soulja Boy. Did you get it? How about this one, in the local rap scene, 80's and 90's Hip-Hop fans and artists versus today's jejemons. Now you can breath...

So as I speak about the video, the people who dares to stand in his way, well actually there is already and all of you know who you are. "Walang Puso" music video also tells us even if you're going down at the first steps towards to your goal...you can still overcome the odds no matter how many it is. You will work your ass to push through to the top and make these critics of yours kneel.

Watch out for the next upcoming music video of Don G. Belgica entitled "Legend Killer."

The Never Heard Will Be Heard

Ckatorse aka “The Never Heard Kid” will now be heard especially his works and words through rap music in courtesy of course yours truly Shots Fired Entertainment. To be honest, he doesn’t listens that much to the local rap scene, but he only listens to two MC’s and they are talented. That would be Loonie and Don G. Belgica. He is more influenced to foreign rap music such as G-unit, Lloyd Banks, Papoose, and Cory Gunz. He likes the Eastcoast style, and with that kind of style, he wants it very lyrically true and gangsta.

The La Union native is only 20 years old, but he already started rapping at the age of 16, he won the Rapper of the Year Award last 2008 at the Dongalo Rap Awards 2 and finally made a mixxtape debut entitled “The Never Heard Kid EP” last 2009. What else would you expect? He is currently a lined up and an active one in the label of Shots Fired Entertainment, this young talented kid could be one of the label’s (SFE) pride and can do better at the near future. Like Don G Belgica, lifting his Shot Fired talents, Ckatorse will also lift his crew in Dilang Kanto Inc. This entity was signed in SFE could be another threat to anyone, because that is what Shots Fired is all about. Now he enters to this kind of game and is ready to take his shit to the next level, now his life is now totally different, like what he said in one of his track….E.M.O. Every Minute is On now!

The Never Heard Kid E.P. track list

1. Salamin
2. E.M.O. (Every Minute Is On)
3. Alone In the Street
4. Party Hard (feat. Argiel of Manifesto Thrillaz)
5. Hambog Part. 2
6. Still Holdin the Title
7. Gusto Ko Magbago

"Birthdate” Being the Key to Success

Everyday is our birthday…you wanna know why? Because we woke up every morning and we are very grateful with it. Speaking of birthday, this is no ordinary birth date. This is the day you’re gonna realize that Shots Fired Entertainment website (under Blogger) is born. You can say gangsta rap will return, well my answer for you my friend is YES! A very big fuckin’ YES! The label (SFE) is all about the streets, I mean lyrically street. No good vibes but true people, nothing fancy and glamorous about our MC’s music, just lyrically street and true.

I would rather respect and an MC whose knowledge is much known to the underground than a sell out rapper in the mainstream. There are different kinds of rappers who already reached the world of fame. Some of them forgot where they came from, but some of them not. A rapper who never forgot his/her roots are the kind of MC’s who has no intentions to be famous, they are just good on what they do and they still look back on the past and being proud of it. Some of them even wanna witness the on what’s happening today in the game, and some of them not. Because they already reached their respective peak and no need to check out what’s up, they have are too busy nowadays to their big breaks and obligation or shall we say “putting food” on the table for their families, that’s how you define SUCCESS!

Speaking of success, the birth of Shots Fired Entertainment’s label and website would be the key for its artists and crew to be successful and to survive to this kind of game.

Welcome to our website!!!

SHOTS FIRED!!! Brrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaapppp!!!
